Mulholland Drive (Part 1)

Well, it finally happened. After several episodes of speculation and teasing, we finally had too much content for one episode. What more fitting than a David Lynch Film. Lynch is a director famous for offering no insight into how his films should be interpreted. Are they autobiographical, or does Lynch have something else on his mind when he makes his films? Should we attribute meaning to anything and everything we see on screen? Mulholland Drive is considered by many to be Lynch’s magnum opus. Whether or not you agree with that, we can all agree there is something uniquely fascinating about this film. In part one of this episode, we discuss the film’s connections to Twin Peaks, the monster behind Winkies, and the Cowboy. Join us again as we dive deep into a film’s meaning and cultural significance.
