Grief and loss are emotions that just about every human on the planet struggles with at some point in their lives. By extension, many people question why so many bad things happen to good people. Terrence Malick with his 2011 film The Tree of Life has attempted to explore these questions in the most natural way possible. Malick examines the world from the way of nature and the way of grace. In this episode, Josh and Nigel try to break apart Malick’s cryptic masterpiece by discussing Malick’s process, the creation of the world, and the experiential element that has been captured on screen.
